The Questions We Carry

Terms of Service

Last updated August 6, 2026

Agreement

By using this app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

What this app is

This is a personal reflection journal. It is not therapy, not a medical device, and not a crisis service. It can make mistakes, and it can't guarantee any particular outcome for you. If you need more support than a journal can give, please reach out to a licensed, in-person professional — Before You Dive In lists resources that are always available to you.

Who can use this app

This app is not directed at children under 13. If you're between 13 and the age of majority where you live, please use it with a parent or guardian's permission.

Your content

What you write is yours. We never see it, never store a copy of it ourselves, and never claim any ownership over it. It's your responsibility to keep your device and any exported copies secure.

Subscriptions and purchases

Any subscription auto-renews until you cancel it, and is billed and managed entirely through your Apple ID — not by us directly. You can review, change, or cancel a subscription anytime in your device's App Store settings. Pricing and renewal terms are shown at the time of purchase.

Acceptable use

Please don't try to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or misuse this app in ways that could harm it or other users. We reserve the right to suspend access for clear violations of these terms.

No warranty

This app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this app. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.

Ending your use

You can stop using this app and permanently delete everything, on your own, anytime — Settings has a Delete All option that does exactly that, immediately.

Governing law

⚠️ NOT YET WRITTEN — needs your (or counsel's) input.

This is the one section deliberately left blank rather than guessed at: which state or country's law governs this agreement, and where any disputes would be handled, is a real business decision, not something to invent. Common defaults: the state where the business is incorporated/operated from, or where you personally reside. Fill in once decided.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, this page will be updated to reflect that.
